Tips and Tricks for Successful Order Entry
Hardware Notes:
Use caution when entering any information into the “Hardware Notes” field under the Hardware tab. This field generates special instructions and engineering review when your order is submitted and can cause a lead-time delay. If your order doesn’t necessarily require special machining instructions or review, it is best to completely ignore this field. Call anytime you feel that you must enter additional notes. Some examples of when NOT to use this field are:

1. To make notes regarding changes you need to make to the lock template you selected. Lock templates should be selected when Eggers will be machining exactly according to the templates. If you require changes to be made than you must select Template Not Found and use that note field to outline the change. You can then submit a similar template with changes noted when you submit your order.
2. To make notes regarding surface hardware. This is not necessary because we will not be doing any machining. Please use the surface hardware drop-down menu for locks provided by others. Push pull hardware does not need to be noted as it will not require machining.

Built-in Hints and Instructions
 Did you know that any description title in Eggers Online that is highlighted in blue offers additional instruction if you hover your mouse over the title? This can come in very handy when entering an order and you cannot remember exactly how to enter a specific calculation.

Additional Quick Tips & Tricks

• Flush Bolt Entry - When entering the inactive leaf of a pair, Eggers Online will prompt you to enter your flushbolt information. Once the initial flushbolt information is entered, it is assumed the same flushbolt will be used for both the top and bottom prep. The system will also allow you to select “Top Flushbolt Only” prep only or “Alt. Bottom Flushbolt.” If you want the same flushbolt model on the top and bottom, you do not need to select “Top Flushbolt Only” or “Alt. Bottom Flushbolt.” These picks only need to be utilized if there is not a bottom flushbolt prep or the bottom flushbolt model differs from the top flushbolt model.
• Why doesn’t my pricing match my quote?All Eggers Online orders will automatically calculate your preferred provider discounting into the cost of the order. Many recent quotes may have included additional discounting. Prior to submittal, review the pricing carefully on your order. If you do not feel that it is correct, contact Todd Andrus at 920.722.6444 Ext. 126 or via email at tandrus@eggersindustries.com with your quote and order numbers and he will be happy to help identify the discrepancy.
